Why process road repair and trench-work?

Thus, when the road is damaged, it needs to be repaired in time. When the damage scope is large and serious, it is usually necessary to dig trenches and pave the road again.

How does compaction equipment used in road repair and trench-work?

The compaction equipment we often used is vibratory plate compactors, vibratory rollers, and tamping rammers. Compacted road surfaces should use a combination of these three pieces of equipment. Compaction operations can be generally divided into initial pressure, repressure, and final pressure. The initial pressure can be used for the first one or two times of each layer of pavement by light rollers such as vibratory plate compactors. After preliminary compaction, the formation of the pavement layer is more stable. And a preliminary flat bearing layer with a certain bearing capacity is formed. That is conducive to further compaction operations. Repress is to choose a medium roller such as a vibratory roller for 5 to 8 times rolling. Its purpose is to adjust the roller weight, tire pressure, and vibration frequency. So that the roller line pressure and other parameters meet the requirements. And finally, make the road surface achieve the specified compaction density. The final pressure only needs to be rolled 1 to 2 times according to the actual situation of the road surface. And the final need is to achieve the effect of compaction and formation of the road surface.

How to choose compacting equipment correctly?

How to choose pressure equipment? We can choose the most suitable compaction equipment through all aspects of comparison or based on comprehensive analysis. Thus, you can refer to the following points:

(1) For the compaction of cohesive soil, the vibratory roller can be selected. The tire roller is better for uniform sandy soil, and for soil containing sand and gravel, vibratory rollers is better.

(2) When the soil moisture content used for road filling is small and it is difficult to add water to wet. It is appropriate to use heavy compaction machinery such as a vibratory rollers. Yet, the soil used for road filling has a high water content. So it is suitable for lightweight compaction equipment such as vibratory plate compactors.

We usually need to use large, medium, and small rollers with each other or a variety of model combination construction.
