Pavement waterproofing is an important factor affecting pavement life. But often in the process of pavement construction, many people will ignore this aspect, which often causes premature damage to the pavement, and the subsequent maintenance will also produce more expensive costs. Pavement waterproofing brings many benefits. It provides a barrier between the pavement and the external environment, thus protecting the pavement. In addition, the appearance of the road surface after waterproof treatment will be greatly improved.

Why process pavement waterproof ?

Pavement waterproofing is an important factor affecting pavement life. But often in the process of pavement construction, many people will ignore this aspect, which often causes premature damage to the pavement, and the subsequent maintenance will also produce more expensive costs. Pavement waterproofing brings many benefits. It provides a barrier between the pavement and the external environment, thus protecting the pavement. In addition, the appearance of the road surface after waterproof treatment will be greatly improved.

How to use a concrete power screed to achieve waterproof effect?

1.Prepare the Concrete Slab: Make sure the concrete slab is leveled and free from any debris or dust.

2.Pour the Concrete: Pour the concrete onto the slab, using a finishing trowel to spread the concrete evenly and remove any air pockets.

3.Add the Screed Rails: Place the screed rails on top of the poured concrete. The screed rails should be placed at least 6 inches apart and should be long enough to cover the entire slab.

4.Adjust the Screed Rails: Adjust the screed rails to the desired level. Make sure the screed rails are firmly set and not wobbling.

5.Apply the Power Screed: Start at one end of the screed rails and slowly move the power screed along the rails. Make sure to evenly vibrate the power screed to create a smooth and even finish.

6.Remove Screed Rails: Once you have finished screeding the concrete, remove the screed rails.
